China's EV sales reach 580,000 units in May
Chinese electric car sales rose 60.9% on-year but only 10.5% on-month in May to 580,000 units, according to data from China Passenger Car Association (CPCA).
The estimate published by the trade body relates to retail volumes, and breaks down into 388,000 battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and 192,000 plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs).
