China's April NEV sales surge, domestic demand questioned
Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) sales reached 850,000 units in April, an on-year increase of 33.5%, according to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).
NEV production that month totalled 870,000 units, up 35.9%. January-April production and sales reached about 2.99 million units and 2.94m units, respectively, up 30.3% and 32.3%.
April market share of NEVs in China reached 36%, while four-month share was 32.4% Kallanish learns.
