China's lithium hydroxide exports rise amid declining lithium carbonate imports
Chinese exports of lithium hydroxide rose 46.5% year-on-year in May to 10,962 tonnes, but the on-month growth was much smaller at 8.6%, according to Chinese broker Huaxi Securities.
Citing Chinese customs data, the company said China also imported 10,109 tonnes of lithium carbonate last month. This corresponds to an annual increase of 4.5% and a 10.6% decline compared to April.
