Chile agrees higher lithium production quota with Albemarle
Corfo, the Chilean economic development agency, has reached an agreement with Albemarle to increase the miner’s lithium production quota in the country.
The US company will be able to exercise an option to expand its production quota by 240,000 tonnes of lithium metal equivalent (LME), from a reported figure of 460,000 t currently.
