CenterPoint Energy launches Minnesota green hydrogen pilot project
CenterPoint Energy says it has launched a green hydrogen pilot project in Minnesota, Kallanish reports.
The now-operational project uses renewable electricity to split hydrogen from water and the zero-carbon fuel is then blended at low concentrations with natural gas to provide heat, the Minnesota-based utility says. It is among the first US utilities to produce zero-carbon hydrogen for blending with its natural gas supply.
