California utility signs deals for 590 MW of battery storage
Southern California Edison announces that it has signed contracts for four projects totalling 590 megawatts of battery storage, Kallanish reports.
The projects include 585 MW of lithium-ion utility-scale battery storage with three partners: NextEra’s 325-MW Desert Peak Project, Recurrent Energy’s 200-MW Crimson Project and 174 Power Global/Hanwha Group’s 60-MW Eldorado Valley Project.
The first two projects are expected to begin service 1 August…
