California launches US' first hydrogen hub
California has become the first US state to officially launch a hydrogen hub, estimated at $12.6 billion, Kallanish learns from the state government.
The deal was signed by the US Department of Energy (DOE) and the Alliance for Renewable Clean Hydrogen Energy Systems (Arches). The hub will receive up to $1.2 billion in federal funding, with $11.4 billion to come from public and private funds.
