California needs 16-fold increase in chargers by 2030

The US state of California needs 1.2 million chargers by 2030 to meet the expected demand of an estimated 7.5 million electric vehicles, according to a report by the California Energy Commission.  California is currently under a mandate to eliminate new fossil fuel vehicle sales by 2035.
