California earmarks $1.5 billion for zero-emission vehicle infrastructure
The state of California plans to roll $1.5 billion for zero-emission vehicle infrastructure into its $4.5 billion 2021-2022 stimulus plan, Kallanish learns from a release from Governor Gavin Newsom.
The funds will be in support of California’s scheme to require all new passenger vehicle sales to be zero-emission by 2035 - a measure that has been echoed in the states of New York, New Jersey, and Massachusetts.
