California congressman floats tax incentive for e-bikes
Two US Congressmen are pushing for a tax incentive for electric bicycles, Kallanish reports.
California’s Representative Jimmy Panetta and Oregon’s Representative Earl Blumenauer - who also chairs the Congressional Bike Caucus - have introduced the Electric Bicycle Incentive Kickstart for the Environment (E-BIKE) Act, ultimately aimed at replacing 15% of automobile trips with e-bike rides.
