BYD adds CNY 6.5 billion investment to Shenzhen project
Chinese leading automaker BYD announced an investment increase of CNY 6.5 billion ($893 million) for a new phase of its passenger electric vehicle project in Shenzhen, Kallanish learns.
This third development phase will mainly focus on battery pack lines and core parts and components for EVs. The company expects an over CNY 10 billion annual output value after the new phase is put into operation. However, the production capacity has not been disclosed.
