BLM approves Oberon solar, storage project in California
The US Bureau of Land Management has approved the Oberon solar-plus-storage project in southern California, Kallanish reports.
The project by Oberon Solar LLC will produce 500 megawatts of renewable energy and have capacity for 200 MW of battery storage. That is enough electricity to power about 142,000 homes. The project will be built on 2,600 acres of BLM-managed public lands near Desert Center, California, in eastern Riverside County.
