BHP's nickel production marginally up in FY24
BHP’s nickel production rose 2% year-on-year to 81,600 tonnes in the financial year ended 30 June 2024 (FY24), Kallanish reports.
The global miner said on Wednesday that its Nickel West production was in line with the prior year. It produced a higher proportion of the lower-value matte products as a result of increased maintenance at Kwinana Refinery and severe weather events in March 2024.
