Ballard Power, Caterpillar, Microsoft partner for H2 data centre generator
Ballard Power Systems is joining forces with Caterpillar and Microsoft to build a backup power hydrogen fuel cell system for data centres.
The collaboration, funded in part by the US Department of Energy is a three-year project backed by the National Renewable Energy Lab. Microsoft’s data centre in Washington will host the generator demonstration, Kallanish notes.
