Avtovaz plans EV production in Russia
Russian carmaker Avtovaz, which is producing Lada cars, is preparing for the production of electric vehicles (EVs) in the near future, says company president Nicolas Maure.
“It will probably take up to 10 years to bring an electric Lada to the Russian market, if the state continues to create the infrastructure for the EV market,” Maure says. “In the first stage, Renault electric cars will appear in Russia, and then Lada.”
