Aviation start-up Universal Hydrogen goes bust
Californian start-up Universal Hydrogen (UH2) has gone bust after failing to secure a buyer or raise funding to continue operations.
Established in 2020, the company was developing hydrogen-electric aircraft powered by hydrogen fuel cells, Kallanish understands. It dubbed its technology ‘Nespresso style’ as it planned to supply hydrogen conversion kits and pods to aircraft, similar to the coffee pods used in Nespresso machines.
