Australia to invest $46m in Townsville hydrogen hub
The Australian government announced Tuesday an investment of up to AUD 70 million ($46.2m) to develop the Townsville region hydrogen hub in north Queensland.
Developed by Edify Energy, the 17.6-megawatt demonstration production facility will have integrated renewable energy generation, Kallanish learns. The hub will initially produce 800 tonnes/year of green hydrogen, going up to 3,000 t/y to support local industry and in zero-emissions transport.
