Asia to continue dominance on battery manufacturing
A boom in battery cell production capacity is expected in Europe and North America towards 2025, but Asia will continue to be the “mother of batteries,” Rystad said in a new report last week.
According to the Norwegian consultancy firm, battery manufacturing capacity in Europe and North America will increase to around 0.33 terawatt-hour (TWh) and 0.14 TWh, respectively. Current capacity stands at 61 gigawatt-hour (GWh) and 40 GWh, respectively.
