AMG Lithium starts construction on German hydroxide plant
AMG Lithium has started construction of Europe’s first lithium hydroxide plant, processing Brazilian spodumene concentrate in Germany, Kallanish reports.
The facility in Bitterfeld-Wolfen will have the capacity to produce 20,000 tonnes/year of lithium hydroxide, starting in Q3 2023. It’s the first of five planned modules at the site, which will eventually bring total project capacity to around 100,000 tonnes/year.
