MHI starts testing SOEC module in Japan
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) said Thursday it has started operating a solid oxide electrolysis (SOEC) test module at Takasago Hydrogen Park in Japan’s Hyogo Prefecture.
The 400-kilowatt test module is based on the Japanese engineering company’s solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) technology. The system offers high efficiency and is capable of operating at high pressures, which MHI claims sets it apart from competing systems.
