Flats: Vietnam’s hot-rolled coil (HRC) market remained sluggish in January as traders and buyers scaled back activity ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday. Meanwhile, the looming possibility of anti-dumping duties on Chinese HRC imports has added volatility to the market, fueling speculation among buyers and suppliers.  

Longs: The Southeast Asian rebar import market remained weak in January as prices continued to decline, weighed down by bearish sentiment and subdued demand.  

Semis: The ASEAN billet import market experienced significant volatility in January, driven by speculative buying activity. However, the holiday season dampened overall trading momentum.  

BF Raw Materials: Seaborne iron ore prices remained largely stable in January, with price fluctuations narrowing as market volatility eased due to the holiday season.

EAF Raw Materials: The Kanto Tetsugen monthly Japanese scrap export tender on 10 January saw prices rebound from the previous month.
