Xining Special to commission square billet casting line
Northwestern China's Xining Special Steel has successfully hot-tested a continuous billet caster following a technical renovation project, according to the China Metallugical Construction Association. After commissioning it will be able to produce 600,000 tonnes/year of billet with cross sections up to 250mm*280mm, Kallanish notes.
