US mill output declines during holiday week
Raw steel production from US mills fell last week during the Thanksgiving holiday, according to the latest American Iron and Steel Institute report.
US mills produced 1.837 million short tons of steel during the week ended 27 November - a 1.3% decline from the previous week. Mills operated at 83.2% of capability utilisation compared to 84.3% the week before.
