US long steel exports decline again
Long carbon steel export volumes shipped from the US fell in May for a third consecutive month, Kallanish learns from the latest data published by the Department of Commerce.
According to Commerce's steel monitor, long carbon steel exports decreased by 6.8% month-on-month in May to a total of 142,580 tonnes. Countries receiving significant quantities in May were Canada (85,753t) and Mexico (40,779t), followed by the Dominican Republic (5,329t). Monthly exports…
