UAZ increases car production in first half
Russia’s Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant (UAZ), part of Sollers Group, increased production of vehicles in January-June, Kallanish notes.
Output reached 19,249 units, up by 65.4% on-year. The company plans to grow vehicle production further this year by establishing a new production line.
In the next two years, Sollers plans to invest more than RUB 5.5 billion ($61 million) in the development of UAZ.
