Turkish scrap drops on-week amid spate of bookings
Turkish mills booked a spate of deep-sea scrap cargoes last week at significantly lower prices on-week; however, prices stabilised during the latest bookings, Kallanish notes.
On Wednesday, one mill booked HMS 1&2 80:20 from the US at $355/tonne cfr Turkey, followed by the same grade from the Baltic at $354.50/t cfr. A day later, a second mill booked an 80:20 consignment from the US at $355/t cfr.
