Turkish scrap collapses on fresh Canada-origin deal
Scrap prices in Turkey continue to fall amid bearish sentiment in both consuming and supplying regions, and low-priced semi-finished steel prices.
The latest deal has been concluded by a Canadian supplier at $373/tonne cfr Turkey for HMS 1&2 95:5 and $383/t for shredded, notes Kallanish.
This points to another sharp fall considering the latest Baltic-origin deal at $370/t cfr for HMS 1&2 80:20 towards the end of last week.
