Turkish HRC surges close to $700 amid demand
The flat steel market has registered an uptick in demand, resulting in continued increases in hot and cold rolled prices in Turkey’s domestic and export markets, participants inform Kallanish.
Higher-priced import offers, along with extended delivery durations, and the possibility of retroactive anti-dumping tariffs on HRC originating from China, Russia, India and Japan have enabled domestic mills to gain an edge.
