Steel futures stall on lack of motivation
Chinese rebar and hot rolled coil futures slowed down again on Monday after rising for several consecutive days, as the expected stimulus policy has still not been realised and the market lacks new momentum, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange, the most-traded October 2023 rebar contract closed CNY 47/tonne lower than Friday at CNY 3,752/t ($524/t), while the same contract for HRC lost CNY 47/t to CNY 3,852/t.
