Sluggish trading stifles Black Sea flat steel exports
Trading in slab and flat steel among Black Sea exporters remained sluggish last week, with Russian suppliers focused on meeting domestic demand amid low interest from foreign buyers, market participants inform Kallanish.
In Turkey, a slab deal was heard done at around $490/tonne cfr Turkey from an unknown supplier. Russia's non-sanctioned mill’s slab offer was heard at $520/t cfr, compared to deals around two weeks ago at $500/t cfr.
