Rizhao to upgrade Yingkou blast furnaces
China’s Rizhao Steel Group intends to upgrade blast furnaces at its Rizhao Steel Yingkou Medium Plate plant in northeastern China, according to the capacity replacement plan released by the Department of industry and Information Technology of Liaoning Province.
The company plans to replace four existing 450 cubic metre-blast furnaces with one 2,430 cum furnace, Kallanish notes. The construction will last one year from the end of 2023.
