Metinvest to increase coal production with new longwall
Metinvest's Pokrovskugol coal mine is preparing to launch a new longwall with reserves of almost 2 million tonnes of coking coal, Kallanish notes. Longwall 1 is in the southern panel of block 10.
Pokrovskugol has produced 2mt of coking coal since the beginning of 2024. Despite the tense military situation in Ukraine’s Donetsk region, all four of its coal mining sites are working stably, the enterprise claims.
