Malaysia’s Alliance Steel begins pellet production
Malaysia-based Alliance Steel’s new pellet shaft furnace began operation on 6 February, Kallanish notes from a letter of acceptance sent to Zhongshan Changtian International Engineering Co., the main contractor of the project.
The pellet plant has a capacity of 720,000 tonnes/year and is part of the company’s 3.5 million t/y steelworks in the Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park (MCKIP).
