LatAm steel trade deficit widens in April
Latin America's steel trade deficit widened in April to 2.01 million tonnes. This was almost 14.9% higher than in March and 25.7% more year-on-year, Kallanish learns from the steel producers association Alacero.
The deficit for the first four months of 2024 was almost 6.77mt, widening by 20.8% compared with 5.61mt in the same period a year earlier.
