Kuwait benchmark mill cuts rebar prices
Kuwait's benchmark mill has cut its wholesale rebar prices - for traders - by almost KWD 5/tonne ($16) to KWD 177/t ($580) ex-works, as a response to discounted imported rebar at $570/t delivered to the buyer's yard, particularly from Oman, and subdued demand, Kallanish understands.
The price announcement was made on the first working day of the week, Sunday 4 August, and Al Oula is expected to follow suit and set its rebar price at the same level.
