Italian wire rod prices flatten
Italian wire rod prices remain relatively stable on-week, indicating no increases for drawing-quality material before the summer mill stoppages. Sources inform Kallanish that consumption continues to be subdued.
During the second quarter, there was a noticeable decline in sales volumes for mills, with prices decreasing by some €20/tonne ($21) on month. Some sellers reported a decline in volumes of around 10-15% compared to last year.
