Iron ore rebounds as buying spikes
Seaborne iron ore prices rebounded back towards $60/tonne on Friday as a flurry of deals pushed prices higher. Chinese port stocks meanwhile dipped a little from their recent high, also give prices some support.
The Kallanish index closed up $0.59/t at $59.61/dry metric ton cfr Qingdao. 170,000 tonnes of PB fines traded on globalORE at $61.05/t for September delivery. On Corex, Yandi fines traded at $50.5/t and $50.6/t, while Carajas fines sold for $70/t.
