Iron ore firm despite rising inventories
Seaborne iron ore prices managed a very small increase on Monday as Chinese futures prices gained slightly. Iron ore inventories are building however and supply is plentiful.
The Kallanish index for 62% Fe Australian fines was up $0.23/t to $54.01/dry metric tonne cfr Qingdao. A cargo of Carajas fines sold over the Corex platform at $60/t. A combined shipment traded on GlobalOre for August delivery, with 110,000t of MNP and 90,000t of Yandi fines both index link…
