Indian mills seek low-grade iron ore export duty
India's leading steelmakers have urged the government to impose an export tax on low-grade iron ore and pellet to address domestic shortages.
The Indian Steel Association (ISA), representing major producers such as ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India, Steel Authority of India, JSW Steel, and Tata Steel, sent a letter to the Ministry of Steel last month.
