Germany’s scrap exports increase slightly, imports drop
Germany’s ferrous scrap exports increased in May, according to data from the German federal statistics office.
Exports totalled 577,000 tonnes, up 1.5% year-on-year, Kallanish notes. Scrap imports meanwhile fell by almost 14% to 383,000t.
