Chinese HRC domestic prices soar but transactions calm
Chinese hot rolled coil prices in the domestic market soared in the two trading days after the Chinese New Year holiday, but there were few transactions on export markets. Expectations of a strong demand recovery drove prices higher, although strong end user demand has yet to actually arrive, Kallanish notes.
