China appears on Turkish billet supplier list
Turkish billet imports under HS code 720711 surged 33% on-year in May to 311,894 tonnes, Kallanish notes from Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data. They were however down 23% from April, which saw the largest monthly tonnage imported since June 2016.
Russia dominated supply with 166,971t in May, slightly down from last year however as Algeria and Kuwait supplied 54,657t and 30,466t respectively versus only 10,000t in Algeria’s case and zero in Kuwait&rs…
