Black Sea slab, HRC markets rise but quiet
The Black Sea slab market is reported to be quiet, with buyers waiting to understand how firm the uptrend in the hot rolled coil segment will be, market participants inform Kallanish.
Turkish customers are silent after booking Russian slab at $490/tonne cfr – or $460-465/t fob Black Sea – and Malaysian at $550/t cfr. Malaysia-origin slab is now on offer at $580/t cfr Turkey from traders and at $590-600/t cfr Turkey for new-production material.
