Aperam decreases alloy surcharges
French stainless steel producer Aperam is slightly decreasing its May alloy surcharges for its austenitic range of flat stainless steels for Europe. The steelmaker is reducing 316 prices more significantly due to molybdenum values reaching approximately $21/lb, down from the peaks of $38/lb seen in the past months, Kallanish notes.
