US grants $1.7 billion for EV plant conversions
The US Department of Energy (DOE) is providing $1.7 billion to 11 shuttered or at-risk automotive plants to help them convert to electric vehicle manufacturing.
Additional support comes amid the Biden Administration’s push to boost clean energy projects to prop up domestic manufacturing in the race to net zero.
