US government awards $11.8m to Lithium Americas

The US Department of Defense (DOD) has awarded $11.8 million to Canadian miner Lithium Americas Corp, Kallanish reports. Assigned under the Defense Production Act Investment, the funding is intended for the company’s Thacker Pass project, located in the US state of Nevada.
