STEAG to supply hydrogen to thyssenkrupp Steel
thyssenkrupp Steel and energy company STEAG have signed an MOU on the supply of hydrogen and oxygen, Kallanish learns from the steelmaker.
tk Steel intends to use the hydrogen from the neighbouring STEAG site in its plant in Duisburg to achieve significant CO2 reductions in hot metal production. This will support its aim of reducing emissions by 30% until 2030 and reaching climate neutrality by 2045.
