Pakistan welcomes BYD entry, car plant plans
Chinese giant BYD has made its official entry into Pakistan with three models and ambitions to open a new energy vehicle (NEV) assembly plant in the country, Kallanish reports.
In a launch ceremony on Saturday, BYD and its local partner Mega Motors introduced the Atto 3 and Seal BEVs and the Sealion 6 PHEV. The companies will establish three flagship stores in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad, with first sales set to begin in Q4 2024.
