Hy2gen acquires German green hydrogen derivative company
German renewable hydrogen and hydrogen-based e-fuel developer Hy2gen said Monday it has acquired kiwi AG and its operating power-to-emethane plant in Werlte, Lower Saxony.
The undisclosed transaction gives Hy2gen access to a 300-megawatt electrolysis and methanation project pipeline. The 6.3-MW plant in Werlte, said to be the world’s largest of its kind, produces renewable hydrogen and transforms it into renewable methanol to be used by the shipping industr…
