CustomCells, Group14 sign $300m silicon supply deal
German battery group CustomCells and advanced silicon battery material maker Group14 Technologies have signed a multi-year supply agreement worth over $300 million.
The pair have been collaborating since 2020, with CustomCells making prototype cells with Group14’s materials. Under the deal announced Monday, US-based Group14 says it will provide its SCC55 advanced silicon material over the next few years, “beyond 2030.”
